Everything you need to know about full mouth dental implants

What Are Full Mouth Dental Implants?

Full mouth dental implants are a type of dental prosthetic that replaces all of the teeth on the upper and lower arches. Unlike dentures, which only replace the visible portion of the teeth, full mouth dental implants replace the entire tooth, from root to crown. This makes them a much more stable and durable solution for tooth replacement than dentures.

What Are The Benefits Of Full Mouth Dental Implants?

There are many benefits of full mouth dental implants, including:

Improved oral health

Because full mouth dental implants replace the entire tooth, they help to preserve the health of the surrounding teeth. This is in contrast to dentures, which can cause gum disease and other oral health problems.

Better chewing

Full mouth dental implants are firmly anchored in the jawbone, making them much more stable than dentures. This means that you’ll be able to chew your food more effectively, and with less risk of your dentures slipping or coming loose.

Enhanced smile

Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, so they can give you a beautiful, natural-looking smile.

Improved speech

Because full mouth dental implants are securely anchored in place, they can help to improve your speech. This is in contrast to dentures, which can sometimes slip and cause you to mumble or slur your words.

Increased self-confidence

With full mouth dental implants, you’ll be able to smile, speak, and eat with confidence, knowing that your teeth are securely in place. This can do wonders for your self-confidence and overall quality of life.

What Is The Process For Full Mouth Dental Implants?

The process for full mouth dental implants usually takes place over the course of several months. During the initial consultation, your dentist will examine your mouth and take X-rays to determine if you’re a good candidate for the dental implants.

If you are a good candidate, the next step is to have the implant surgery. This involves placing metal posts into your jawbone to serve as a foundation for the new teeth. Once the posts are in place, your jawbone will need to heal and fuse around them. In the meantime, you will receive temporary teeth, so you’ll be able to immediately chew and smile.

The healing process leading into the second stage can take several months.

Once your jaw has healed, it’s time for the second surgery, during which the permanent artificial teeth (which can be crowns, bridges, or dentures) will be attached to the metal posts and replace the temporary teeth. After this surgery, you’ll need to give your mouth time to heal. Once healed, you’ll have a full set of beautiful, natural-looking teeth that are firmly anchored in place.

Because of our same-day temporary teeth and one-stop care, you’ll save a great deal of time in the process by using The Dental Implant Place to repair your smile.

How Much Does It Cost To Get A Full Mouth Of Dental Implants?

The cost of full mouth dental implants can vary depending on a number of factors, including the number of teeth being replaced and the type of implants used. Other factors include whether you need same-day teeth temporarily, financing, bone grafts or whether it’s in-house vs outsourced lab creation.

However, in general, these dental implants can cost anywhere from $13,000 to $30,000 per arch. This cost can also depend whether you want implant dentures, All on 4, or a Zirconia bridge.

What is Zirconia?

Zirconia is a type of artificial tooth that is made from ceramic material. It is often used for full arch replacements because it looks very natural and can match the color of your natural teeth. Zirconia is also a solid material so it can provide you with a durable and long-lasting complete arch replacement. The cost of a Zirconia Bridge can be more expensive than implant dentures or All on 4, but it can also last longer.

What Is The Difference Between Implant Dentures And All On 4?

Implant dentures are full arch replacements that are supported by implants. All on 4 is a type of full arch replacement made from acrylic with a metal base that uses only four implants to support the replacement teeth.

Benefits of Implant Dentures over All on 4

At The Dental Implant Place, we recommend implant dentures for a variety of reasons:

  • Implant dentures utilize a removable acrylic material which is significantly easier to clean
  • Implant dentures can provide up to twice as many implants as all on 4 with as many as 8 implants (vs 4). This provides more stability to your prosthetic so that the weight distribution is more even when you chew.
  • Implant dentures are generally more affordable than all on 4 implants
  • Implant dentures provide a more natural-feeling option

These guys are great I had another dentist tell me because of bone loss I had to pull a front tooth wait a year before they could give me a implant. Dr. Brown said he has done more with less so I had him do the implant and no problems that was three years ago. I have had another implant since then with same results so if you are needing a implant this is the place to go. One more thing he has the best pricing I could find.

I checked out several options for dental implant surgery and went with Dr. Brown. He explained everything thoroughly to me and showed me the facility and his method seems to be the best for me. Had oral surgery with several teeth removed and several posts implanted inserted. The next day I didn't even need an aspirin. It was unbelievable the amount of work they did in one day with no pain the next. The staff is great, they treat you like family. I'm now most of the way through the process and thoroughly impressed with Dr. Brown and his staff. All have gone above and beyond.I wanted to update my review since I just received my permanent implants... WOW! you wouldn't know they were implants if I didn't tell you. They look and feel Great ! Couldn't have made a better choice. Excellent work. I Highly Recommend Them A+++Thank you to Dr Brown and All the Staff at The Dental Implant PlaceKMI have had the full upper implants for about 2 years now and its still the best decision I have made in years.
